Big Jim's 60th Birthday Roast

Broke down in Zambia on way to airport

Greetings Saints! Wanted to invite you to join us on Saturday March 12th from 3 to 5 PM at Bible Fellowship Church in Newark to celebrate my  "Big Jim 60th Birthday Roast" and join in the fun as I get roasted.

There will be cake and coffee after  and maybe even some of my famous Habanero Brownies for all to enjoy.

No need to bring presents; but if you would like to bring something we are collecting sewing needles, thread, old calendars, cross stitch needles, boys dress ties and HP 60 or 60xl ink for our Village of Hope in Zambia for Karen and I to carry in when we prayerfully go there in April to minister to the children. Can also use nice dress cloth for the girls there, as Karen will be helping them make dresses for a special wedding they are going to in May.

Or if you'd like you could donate a love gift to one of the following as we celebrate:

• All Kids Can Learn International to help support our precious children at the Village of Hope in Zambia; www.akcli.org (Karen and I looking to go back in April)
• Kay's Kamp-Delaware's Oncology Camp for kids as they do a special Cruise Around the World Kamp this summer; www.kayskamp.org (their "self-appointed" International Representative)

You can either:

•  Eat a teaspoon of Dia Lampkins world famous Liberian Hot Sauce (HOT!!!)
• Donate something in the offering plate which will then be given to help support our teens going to Bulgaria this summer. (I would recommend giving towards the teens. As someone who regularly does very hot peppers, these are not ones I would knowingly eat a teaspoon of.)

One final warning! I will be bringing my "Man Hunting" spear that a Pastor friend from Papua New Guinea gave me and will be behind you with it as you share and am not afraid to use it!

Zambia Bound!!!!

Greetings Saints!
 On the right is a picture of our precious children living at the Village with another 16 on the way. Thank you Jesus.

 In a few short hours Karen will be driving me to the airport as the Lord has given me yet another opportunity to go and minister in Zambia.

This trip will be a little different for me as the main purpose is to go for board meetings as we meet together with our Zambian brothers and sisters, seeking Godly wisdom and direction on how best to care for the children both physically and spiritually. Please really bathe us in prayer these next days.

I'll be leaving home at a little before 4 AM Friday and am scheduled to land in Lusaka, Zambia on Saturday at 7:35 AM EST. I would really covet your prayers that I'd make all connecting flights and the luggage, containing many special gifts, would arrive safely with me with no problems in customs. Praying also for traveling safety and physical safety while in country (rainy season-snakes, etc., like to come indoors.)

Please also pray for Karen while I'm away as she holds down the fort here in the States, for God's protection, and for Godly Wisdom and Discernment as she ministers.

This will be our first time apart, and while I'm thrilled to be able to go, I am already missing her and counting the days until we are back together.

In all honesty, I've never had the struggles this intense as we prepare for me to go. God must have something really special planned with all that is coming at both of us.

Please pray for unity and tenderness of heart for all of us.

Praying also for opportunities for me to minister and love our precious children.

I will have limited E-mail access while there, but will keep you up to date as best I can so you can more effectively pray.
